The town of Sisters is named for the three peaks that tower over the town on the West (formerly called "Faith", "Hope", and "Charity"). It is a little town of about 1700 people, but its year round events and nearby recreational activities draw a continual stream of visitors. The buildings feature an 1880´s appearance which is mandated by local building codes, making it a very unique Western town in a pristine setting.
At an elevation of 3180 feet, Sisters enjoys a mild climate with only about 14 inches of annual precipitation, including snow, with pleasant days and cool clear nights. It is the gateway to the Cascades and the Deschutes National Forest, and also the Eastern origin of the McKenzie Pass - Santiam Pass National
