Bend Oregon and all of Central Oregon has been a great place to make that profitable Real Estate Investment choice. With demand high now that Bend OR Real Estate has been "discovered", appreciation rates have been making headlines across the country. In 2006, it was announced that Bend was the #1 metropolitan area in the nation for real estate appreciation. Things have slowed down since, and now Bend was only #10 in the nation for the year ending March 31, 2007, but of the top 20 metropolitan areas in the nation, Bend was still #1 for the 5 year period preceding that date. And the state of Oregon was the #7 state in the nation in home appreciation in 2006-2007.

Of course, with almost 300 days of sunshine per year, and all the outdoor activities available year-round in Central Oregon, it is unlikely that demand for the Bend area is likely to diminish, particularly when median prices in California and Washington are about double those in Bend!
